hailing from nashville tn, jitu arcot is an artist.
a carnatic vocalist, singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist producer whose unique brand of retro-inspired powerpop is influenced by a very diverse musical background.
the dna of classic pop and rock thrives in his songwriting, while merging with an undeniable love for the musicality of rnb, funk, disco, and indie pop. you can hear it in the robust arrangements of instrumentation that include anything from horns, to guitar solos, and even trap beats. oh, of course, there's the harmonies.
it all culminates in a joyous, emotional love letter to pop music, sprinkled with hints of his indian classical vocal upbringing, which has taken him over the world to perform in multiple countries.
additionally, jitu loves to create visual content, be it as a video editor or photographer. having graduated from the university of tennessee in 2020 with a bachelor's of science in journalism and electronic media, he went on to work as a post production specialist on projects for peacock/nbcuniversal, disney +, hbo, amc+, showtime and more.
he is currently working towards his mfa in recording arts and technologies at middle tennessee state university.
in 2026, jitu will be releasing his debut single, "putting on a show," an energetic, arena-ready anthem which pays homage to all of his musical influences.
